IAAC - One of a Kind Opportunity for Astronomy Enthusiasts!

The International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition (IAAC) is one of the world’s most rigorous multi-stage online competitions, drawing over 40,000 students from 140+ countries, and testing participants through advanced problem-solving and research-based challenges.
The IAAC 2026 Qualification round is open, and the submission date is April 17th 2026.
It occurs in a fully digital online platform , with 3 monitored exams. This includes the Qualification Round, the Pre-final/Semi-final Round, and the Final Round. The Qualification Round consists of 5 problems in total, advancing with difficulty after each question. You need 15/17/20 based on your age to qualify for the Pre-Final Round.
The Pre-Final Round consists of multiple problems including 2x Olympiad level problems and 8x Research questions based on an official reputable published research paper. This makes it completely unique to any other Astro competition.
The Final Round is participated only by those who qualified through both previous rounds, and consists of 20-30 Multiple Choice and Short Answer questions testing Astro Knowledge, problem-solving skills, and time management. The Pre-Final round and Final Round are both monitored heavily, making the competition not only prestigious but also reputable.
Awards consist of Bronze, Silver, and Gold Honor certificates available only for the top achievers per category. The Top 3 individuals are also awarded specially, along with highest national scorers.
